The 76th Annual Tony Awards nominations have just been announced by Lea Michele, current Funny Girl and Glee star, and MJ standout and 2022 Tony winner Myles Frost. As a UK-based platform,
we were especially interested in the shows that originated on our shores, including & Juliet, Bad Cinderella, The Collaboration, Death of a Salesman, The Kite Runner, Leopoldstadt, Life of Pi, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, and Prima Facie, and we were thrilled to see them among the nominees.
For the second year in a row, Ariana DeBose, an Oscar winner and Tony nominee, will be hosting the event. However, this year's ceremony will take place at the United Palace in Washington Heights, a historic venue, rather than the usual Radio City Music Hall location. The awards show is set to take place on Sunday, June 11th, 2023.
